Creative services by Studio Storris
Studio Storris is established by Emma Storris and offers text, translation, design and conceptualisation services. Emma graduated from the University of Leiden and has a master degree in language and literature as well as a post doctorate in education, which makes her a first grade certified English teacher. She is also a published author. It is therefore safe to say that she knows how important language is. Wrong use of language leads to miscommunication which may have serious consequences. An example would be a website that is visually beautiful but has linguistically poor content, something that is seen regularly on the internet. As a result, the site does not come across as professional and fails to engage, which is a lost opportunity.
Text as an attention seeker
This definitely goes for publishing badly written content in magazines and commercial publications, looking spiffy but lacking substance. A waste of effort, because if your content doesn’t capture your audience right away, your work will go straight into the waste paper bin. Emma gladly accepts the challenge of grabbing the attention of target readers, keeping them interested and helping others do the same with their texts and books.
Creative centipede Emma: writer, editor, proofreader, translator, designer and conceptualiser.
Emma likes variety and creativity and is available for any kind of work that offers both, either in English, Dutch, both or neither, using the language of imagery. Next to her writing she has been designing and creating concepts for over twenty years now. She knows her way around most creative software and knows how to use it to create artwork, templates, book and magazine designs and layouts and other printables, like cards, folders, brochures.
